We've been in North Carolina eleven years. Last winter was abnormally cold as it was for many of you, but our home is a delight in any season. We even see an occasional snow that self shovels and disappears by noon.

Early Spring rain usually means a river out back on its way to Cape Fear.

Spring in the Carolinas. Azaleas everywhere!

Summer - Hot and Humid. Whatever green thumb I thought I possessed has been color corrected. I planted 5 tomato plants and cared for them diligently. NO TOMATOES. Is that even possible? The lettuce I planted in early Septembers still hasn't grown. It doesn't die. It doesn't grow. If we ever have to depend on our garden for food we are in serious trouble. |
